Stage Management
Stage Management is where logistics meet creativity. The role involves coordinating all on-stage activity — from artist changeovers and technical setups to ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security standards (including Martyn’s Law readiness). The Stage Manager acts as the key link between artists, technical teams, volunteer crew, and production management, ensuring the stage runs like clockwork while maintaining a positive, artist-friendly atmosphere.
As a Stage Manager, I play a crucial role in the smooth delivery of live music performances, ensuring everything from technical setups to artist movements runs to plan. I act as the key point of contact between performers, production teams, and event organisers, keeping everything on time and safe. Whether working in a grassroots venue or on a festival stage, I remain cool under pressure, quickly solving problems on the ground and keeping communication clear across teams. My approach is calm, organised, and artist-focused—prioritising professionalism and a positive backstage atmosphere.
Communicate real-time updates across departments, adapt to unexpected issues on the ground, and support artist liaison teams in creating a positive backstage experience. Monitor live sets, resolve technical or scheduling problems quickly, and contribute to post-show reporting and event debriefs.
